Delayed instructions disrupt the budget agreement between Baghdad and Kurdistan

The parliamentary bloc of the Kurdistan Democratic Party hinted, on Monday, that there is a delay in the instructions of the Ministry of Finance to implement the budget agreement between the central government and the Kurdistan region, calling for determining the quantities of oil .
A member of the bloc, Dyar Barwari, said, "There are instructions that are expected to be issued by the Ministry of Finance to determine some of the work steps of the committees implementing the budget agreement, calling for specifying the form of implementation of commitment to the items .
Berwari added, "We need a period of not less than a month to fully organize the agreement and determine how to deal with its clauses, in addition to our need to schedule federal imports, expecting the escalation of political disputes from unnamed parties that oppose the government's approach to this agreement ."
He pointed out that "the joint technical delegations between the central government and the Kurdistan region continue to work to achieve the region's obligations towards Baghdad, especially in drawing the form of the relationship between the Federal Ministry of Oil and the ministries of natural resources in the region, in addition to coordination with the Federal Office of Financial Supervision ."
As stated in the budget, 80% of the revenues come from oil, and includes 250 thousand barrels produced by the Kurdistan region, a condition imposed by the government to pay the salaries of employees, and the region's share amounted to three trillion and 300 billion as an investment budget .
It is expected that the Council of Ministers will hold a session to approve the steps for implementing the budget within 30 days.
