Trade: the ration card will be safe from variables

The Ministry of Trade confirmed, on Tuesday, that the ration card will be safe from the changes that occurred previously, while noting that the recent cabinet decision to support the card represents a major turning point and a positive factor that will benefit the citizens.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Trade, Muhammad Hanoun, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency and followed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "the ration card is facing a positive turn after the cabinet's decision that the ration card be one basket to which legumes and tomato paste are added," pointing out that "the file will be referred to a company." Specialized according to the contract conducted by the General Company for Foodstuffs with a company.
He added, "This decision gave the ration card a new image that differs from all previous years in which it suffered from problems due to the lack of allocations." Oil through facilities provided by the Ministry of Oil. "
He stressed that "the ration card will be safe from the changes that may occur as it was in previous years," pointing out that "the General Company for Foodstuff Trade is currently carrying out contracting procedures and an agreement with one of the specialized Iraqi companies according to the decision of the Council of Ministers for the purpose of completing the contract directly and then going To distribute the ration card. "
And on the quota for the month of June, Hanoun explained, "The six-month quota will be added to it with one basket of materials, to be seven materials, after adding two items of legumes and tomato paste."
He continued, "There will be seven basic items prepared for citizens through the ration card system, and the procedures will continue with the specialized company. After a short period, the company will be announced and the measures taken to resolve the issue of ration items during the coming period."
The Cabinet had approved, at an earlier time, the one-basket project for the ration card items, adding tomato paste and legumes to the ration card items, as well as the four basic materials: sugar, edible oil, flour and rice.
