    {Economist: Euphrates News} The director of customs of Ilam province, western Iran, said that between April and May of this year, goods worth 124 million dollars were exported to Iraq through the international borders of Mehran.

    Rouhullah Ghulami told the official Iranian news agency, today, Monday, that this quantity of goods weighing more than 280 thousand tons was exported to Iraq through Mehran's international borders, adding: The most important exported goods included building materials, fruits and vegetables, plastic products, industrial products, glass and cups. Household appliances and metal products.
    The Director General of Customs in Ilam Governorate indicated that 380 to 450 Iraqi trucks enter the Mahran border crossing every day to transport goods to Iraq.
    Gholami stressed that the movement of trucks carrying export goods to the borders of Mehran is currently normal, as the goods are first cleared through customs and then loaded with Iraqi trucks, and the export is done without interruption or special problems.
    The Director General of Ilam Customs touched on the amount of goods exported from the borders of Mehran last year and said: During the last year in Iran, one million and 60 thousand tons worth of $ 553 of goods were exported from Mehran to Iraq, explaining: Vegetables and their products, steel, tiles, ceramics, plastic products, leeks and iron ore Petrochemical products are among the items that Iranian merchants export from Mahran's customs across the border.
