    {Economic: Al Furat News} The Minister of Oil inaugurated, on Thursday, a project to upgrade the gas isolation station in the Abu Gharb field in the Maysan governorate.

Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail said during the opening ceremony of the project to upgrade the gas isolation plant in the Abu Gharb / South 1 field in Maysan Governorate: “Iraq is keen to support the work of International companies in Iraq and provide the appropriate environment to implement the Ministry's plans to increase and sustain national production of oil and gas.
    Ismail pointed out that "the production capacity of the project is 100,000 barrels per day, and more than 20 bottles (one million standard cubic feet per day) are added to the national production to supply electric power stations."
    For his part, Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs Karim Hattab stressed: "The ministry is keen to implement plans to maintain and implement national production from oil fields and work on the optimal investment of gas associated with oil operations."
    The ministry has succeeded in implementing a number of projects that contribute to achieving the ministry's goal. He praised the ideal cooperation between the national effort and foreign companies operating in the oil fields to achieve common goals.
    Meanwhile, the Director General of the Maysan Oil Company, Ali Jassim, stressed the need to go ahead with the implementation of the company's plans to develop the Abu Gharb, Fakkah and Bazarkan fields.
