The Parliamentary Government Performance Monitoring and Strategic Planning Committee confirmed, on Monday, the completion of discussions on the Civil Service Law, which was submitted to the Presidency for inclusion in the agenda.
Committee member Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani said, "There are a huge number of employees of lower grades, contracts, wages, the unemployed, the care network, retirees and those with minimal salaries, and all of these segments are affected by the significant rise in prices."
Al-Sudani stressed, “The importance of making real reforms, part of which is related to the salary scale system, and the unification of salaries for state employees, in which there is a clear discrepancy,” noting that “this matter is related to the Civil Service Law, which met all the discussions, with the testimony of the Legal Committee, which it submitted to the Presidency. It is supposed to be on the agenda.
He added that "there are discrepancies and disagreements regarding the civil service law, but in the face of the difficult circumstance, this issue is supposed to be resolved and disputes resolved."
He pointed out that "there are important laws at the present time that are very important and have direct contact with the citizen, which requires speeding up their legislation." Ended 29/A43
