Baghdad - Mawazine News, the
Director-General of the General Company for Food Stuff Trading, inspected, on Wednesday, the food basket marketing complexes in the Sadr City areas, as well as the quality control and testing laboratories of the company's quality control department.
The statement of the General Company for Food Stuff Trading, which Mawazine News received a copy of, said that the general manager of the company inspected today, during an evening tour, the stores of Rusafa complexes in Sadr City, and was briefed on the field about the mechanism of processing the food basket items, while he visited some food agents in the Rusafa sector.
The statement indicated that the director general's tour of food trade also included the company's quality control department, which is concerned with examining foodstuffs within the food basket project.
According to the statement, the Director-General stressed the importance of mobilizing all efforts to complete the plan to prepare the food basket for the success of this vital and important project, which is involved in providing the basic needs of the Iraqi people.
He continued, that all efforts are now focused on the success of the food basket project by contributing to the flow of the food basket to the homes of citizens, as well as following up on the mechanisms for processing it to the food agents, and reviewing the agents' distribution plan in the field to ensure that the materials are delivered to their beneficiaries within the food basket project.
On the same level, the general manager of the company stressed the importance of mobilizing all energies to complete the laboratory examination of the materials in the food basket and to follow mechanisms aimed at speeding up the examination to ensure the rapid delivery of materials to citizens, taking into account the importance of education in the mechanisms of laboratory examination.
He added that all the materials in the food basket that were distributed to the citizen were distinct and represented the first line of materials that the citizen shopped from the local market, which made the poor citizen use the same foodstuffs available to other families by purchasing them from the local market, and this confirms that the basket project Food is an important project that requires everyone's contribution to make it a success, leading to providing food for our people and providing food security.
