    The Minister of Planning in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Dara Rashid, confirmed today, Thursday, that the federal government will continue to disburse an advance of 200 billion dinars per month to finance the salaries of public sector workers in the region.
    Rashid said, in a statement he made to reporters today, that the Kurdistan region's share of the financial budget for the year 2021 has been delayed, indicating that the regional government did not send the draft internal budget law to the Kurdistan Parliament because the federal government did not send the region's share of the budget.
    In early September, the Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament, Rewaz Faeq, said that “the regional government has not sent the draft financial budget law to Parliament for eight years,” adding that “it is not necessary to postpone the draft budget law under any pretext, and we ask the government to Sending the project to the Kurdistan Parliament.

    Government officials in the region assert that the Kurdistan government cannot send the budget without spending the region's share of the federal budget, and Baghdad's approval of the region's own budget before it is approved, causing its obstruction.
