{Economic: Al Furat News} The head of the joint Iranian-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce, Yahya Al Ishaq, announced that the volume of exports to Iraq will reach about $9 billion until the end of the current Iranian year (ending on March 20, 2022).
In a statement to Fars Agency, Al-Ishaq said: In recent years, Iran's exports to Iraq ranged between 8 and 12 billion dollars.
He added, in the past seven months, the value of Iran's exports to Iraq reached $5 billion and $500 million, explaining: Despite the various issues affecting the field of exports to Iraq, but looking at the export conditions this year, studying the conditions of competitors and the prices of exported goods It is expected that Iran's exports to Iraq will increase by about 8 to 9 billion dollars by the end of the current Iranian year.
Al Ishaq attributed the country's foreign trade growth of 43% in the past seven months, compared to the same period last year, to the improvement in the world's coronavirus response conditions.
He said the main challenges in the country's economy are inflation, livelihoods and trade, adding: Neighboring countries have about $1,200 billion in import capacity, and depending on local capabilities, we can export up to about $300 billion to neighboring countries, but currently our exports are to these countries. Ranging from $20 billion to $30 billion.
