    The Ministry of Oil announced that tomorrow, Sunday, will be the date for the start of the work of the Iraq Forum for Clean and Renewable Energy 2022.
    Deputy Chairman of the Ministerial Energy Committee, Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail, said in a statement received by Al-Nour News, a copy of it, that the forum is being held under the slogan "Renewable energy... the inexhaustible gift of nature."
    And I advise, that it comes within the direction of Iraq, the government and the ministry to support all initiatives and efforts to gradually shift from traditional to clean and renewable energy through cooperation projects between national companies and international companies specialized in this field.
    The Minister of Oil indicated that the participation of the ministries of oil, electricity and environment, and a number of national and international companies operating in Iraq, including South Gas, Basra Gas, Shell and Siemens Energy, Schluminger, Baker Hughes, Total, and others.
    He continued, "It is an important step that aims to see and learn about the latest experiences and practical applications in this field, as well as to discuss themes and programs related to the development of renewable energy sectors in Iraq and the world, through scientific papers, research and studies presented by a number of experts and specialists in renewable energy and environmental affairs." About the most realistic steps for establishing clean and renewable energy projects, in addition to future visions and prospects, and similar experiences in developed countries, and the most important and most prominent practical steps in this field.
    It is noteworthy that the Ministries of Oil and Electricity and the National Investment Authority concluded earlier last year a set of contracts and agreements aimed at generating renewable energy and stopping gas flaring.
