The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) bloc confirmed today, Sunday, that the union's doors are open for dialogue, while indicating that Barham Salih is its candidate for the presidency.
The deputy of the bloc, Suzan Mansour, said, "The doors of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc are open for dialogue with all parties," noting that "there is no truth to the news circulating about the party's prevention of its deputies from declaring to the media."
She added, "There are initial and political ideas and agreements with the Democratic Party, but the second party violated the agreement," explaining that "the point of contention is not over the candidate, but the Democrat also has a candidate competing for the presidency."
On the candidacy of Barham Salih for the presidency of the republic, she explained that "Barham Salih's candidacy for the presidency is not only a requirement of the National Union, but is the candidate of the national space," stressing that "Barham Salih has proven that he is a fighter against corruption, especially since the last project he presented was to fight money smuggled abroad."
