    [size=45]Today, Sunday, the Iraqi Minister of Education received the Italian ambassador to Baghdad and discussed the development of scientific and academic cooperation, while the latter confirmed his country's orientation to increase scholarships for Iraqi students.[/size]
    [size=45]In a statement, Iraqi Education said that its Minister, Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, received Maurizio Cricante, the Italian ambassador to Iraq, and his accompanying delegation, and they discussed ways to develop scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.[/size]
    [size=45]The Iraqi Minister of Education confirmed, during the meeting, which was attended by the Director of the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations and the Director General of the Research and Development Department, that the Iraqi universities are proceeding in the path of coordination and implementation of the agreements signed with the Italian side, strengthening international partnerships with universities, especially Italian ones, and raising their balance of scientific research in global containers, noting that Higher education institutions in Iraq are distinguished by their conscious response to the requirements of development and the achievement of comprehensive development goals.[/size]
    [size=45]The minister reiterated the keenness of the Ministry of Education and its institutions to implement the contents of the agreements between the two countries in the field of scientific cooperation in the field of antiquities and excavations, cultural and academic exchange programs, scholarships and fellowships, scientific research projects, joint supervision, and training and development projects.[/size]
    [size=45]In turn, the ambassador expressed his deep thanks for the interest of the Ministry of Education in coordinating and providing climates of cooperation and openness to international educational systems, especially the (Bologna Process) system.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Safsir revealed the Italian side's tendency to increase scholarships for Iraqi students and to nurture levels of understanding and relations with an effective academic impact in the space of scientific and cultural exchange.[/size]
