The Chinese Customs Administration announced, on Tuesday, a significant increase in Iraqi oil exports to independent Chinese refineries during the month of January 2022.
The administration showed, with its statistics, which was reviewed by Mawazine News, that "Iraq's oil exports to independent Chinese refineries rose in January The past increased by 235.3% to reach 1.807 million metric tons, or the equivalent of (12.829 million barrels), and it also rose by 49.5% compared to the same month of last year 2020, in which oil exports to China amounted to 1.209 million tons (8.583 million barrels).
And she added, "Iraq ranked fourth in its oil exports to independent Chinese refineries, after Russia, which came first with 2.772 million tons, Saudi Arabia second with 1.905 million tons, and Malaysia third with 1.897 million tons."
The administration indicated that "five suppliers from the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman and the UAE, ranked first among the 10 largest suppliers of Chinese independent refineries last month, supplying 7.81 million metric tons, or the equivalent of (55.451 million barrels) of crude oil." An increase of 3.8% over December 2021 levels.
China's independent refineries increased their oil imports in 2021 by 10% to 70.4 million metric tons from those five countries, up from 64 million metric tons a year earlier, increasing their market share from 34% in 2020. to 39% in 2021. Ended 29/A 4
