    Earth News/ The independent deputy, Ali Turki, confirmed today, Thursday, that the parliament’s decision to summon the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank is far from professional, describing it as a political act.
    Turki said, in an interview with Earth News, that "the Presidency has become accustomed to bringing the country into legal problems, forcing many deputies to resort to the Federal Court for the purpose of standing against these decisions that it has taken."
    Turki added, “Among these decisions is the decision to extend the candidacy, and there are those who believe that the decision to extend the candidacy is against the Democratic Party, because the extension is in the interest of the Democratic Party and to add a new candidate after the main candidate for them, Hoshyar Zebari, was expelled by a decision of the Federal Court, which forced them to Nominating a character similar to Hoshyar Zebari’s specifications.”
    Turki added that "there are many reproaches over the work of the Presidency of Parliament, especially in the case of opening the door for candidacy, as well as the case of Hoshyar Zebari, who was accused of corruption cases. She did not address the Integrity Committee to find out if the candidates possess the qualities and meet the specifications of the presidential candidate.
    And he indicated that "this is a dangerous precedent set by the Presidency and says that whoever is harmed must resort to the judiciary, and even in the matter of summoning the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank, there was a political behavior far from professional in managing sessions and managing the issue of who is being summoned."
    And he continued, "It violated the rules of the summons related to the fact that there should be 25 members of Parliament signed on the issue of hosting this person, and as a result, today we are accustomed to many violations of the Presidency, and it is at the beginning of its professional life, which does not exceed two months. As I said, the Federal Court was resorted to to correct the political situation that the Presidency had deliberately penetrated.
