On Thursday, the Presidency of the House of Representatives invited Jordan to facilitate the granting of visa and residency procedures for Iraqis.
According to a statement by his office, Mawazine News received a copy of it, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hakim Al-Zamili, received today Jordan's ambassador to Baghdad, Montaser Al-Zoubi, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation frameworks and activate the parliamentary friendship committees between the two countries.
Al-Zamili stressed that Parliament has set among its priorities the introduction of an integrated approach that would build a strategic partnership, real openness, and reset economic relations with the Arab world and other regional and global countries, calling on the Jordanian side to facilitate granting entry visas and simplify residency procedures for Iraqis, especially patients, And students and merchants, while he invited Jordanian companies to enter the investment portal to implement all service and urban projects.
In turn, the Jordanian ambassador congratulated the success of the electoral democratic process in Iraq, conveying the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the Iraqi parliament and the desire of the Hashemite Kingdom to develop the relationship between the two countries at all levels, extending an invitation to the First Deputy to visit Jordan to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the two sides.
