The Kirkuk Governorate branch in the Department of Public Works and Maintenance revealed today, Monday, that the Chinese company, Sinotech, has started implementing the project of model school buildings in the governorate, with a total of 44 schools.
And the director of the branch, Jassim Muhammad Al-Mafraji, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), which was reviewed by Mawazine News, that "the Chinese company Sinotech has started its work in establishing the model schools for the Chinese contract in the province after officially receiving the work sites."
He added that "the province of Kirkuk divided the model schools according to the population density and the actual need of each district and sub-district," explaining that "the company will implement 30 schools in the city center and in the Taza district, one school and the same in Laylan, three schools in Hawija, three others in Daquq and two in Altun Kobri."
He pointed out that "the preparations of the Works Department of Kirkuk branch were discussed, the completion of its needs and the requirements for opening the resident engineer departments for the project," noting that "our department has been assigned the duty of engineering supervision over the project's work in Kirkuk governorate."
He noted, "We asked the Chinese company to quickly implement work on projects designated for schools."
