The head of the National Bond bloc, MP Ahmed Al-Asadi, confirmed that Iraq's ambassador to London, Jaafar Al-Sadr, will return to Iraq within a few hours after he has proposed a candidate to head the next government.
Al-Asadi said in a statement to the "The [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] " program , which is broadcast on the official channel, that "Al-Sadr will return to the country tomorrow or within the next two days," noting that "what was presented in the media by other candidates for the position is incorrect."

Al-Asadi added, "Jaafar al-Sadr is the only name proposed for the position, and he is a strong candidate," stressing that "the presentation of this character greatly contributed to bridging the distances between the coordination framework and the Sadrist movement, at a rate that can be estimated at 60%."
Al-Asadi indicated that "the political norm after 2003 was that the largest bloc among the Shiite forces nominates the name of the prime minister, and this time the Sadrist bloc is the one who owns these seats among the Shiite forces."
