The House of Representatives is scheduled to hold a new session at 11 am today, Wednesday, that includes the election of the President of the Republic and the formation of parliamentary committees.
While the Triple Alliance insists on proceeding with its program in seeking to complete the process of electing the President of the Republic in today's crucial session, the session will witness the boycott of the coordination framework and its allies in Azm and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and a number of independent representatives, as the fate of the session remains unknown until now.
Member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Mahdi Taqi Amerli, said in a statement to the official newspaper, which was followed by / Mawazine News, that "the political blockage is very complicated, and the nomination of the President of the Republic and the prime minister will not pass if there is no consensus between the Sadrist movement and the coordination framework."
Amerli added, "The guarantor third is present, and its number is increasing, and there is a determination on the other side to pass the nomination, which makes the matter difficult, and the candidate for the presidency will not pass without consensus, and in this way and insistence will complicate the scene further," stressing that "we are proceeding to boycott the session and it will not be achieved."
