The Iraqi government approves a strategy to pay off debts and votes on a "resolution" that facilitates the work of investors
Shafaq News/ The spokesman for the Iraqi Council of Ministers, Hassan Nazim, announced, on Tuesday, that the Council voted on a strategy to pay off foreign and domestic debts.
Nazim said in a press conference attended by Shafak News Agency correspondent, that "the Cabinet voted on a strategy to pay off foreign and domestic debts for the years 2022-2024 as a result of the rise in oil prices."
He added that "the council voted on a resolution that facilitates the work of investors by scheduling the loans they received."
He pointed out that "the political situation did not hinder the government's work."
Nazim continued, "The Prime Minister directed the formation of a working group to prepare for the challenge of providing electrical energy," noting that "the work team has begun to prioritize the provision of electrical energy for the coming months."
The Cabinet spokesman indicated that "the emergency support law for food security and development will provide services, and we hope to vote on it without change."
