    Earth News/ The Technical Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mithaq Abdul-Hussein Obaid, discussed today, Tuesday, with the delegation of the Romanian Embassy in Iraq, the joint agricultural cooperation between the two friendly countries.
    A statement by the ministry, received by Earth News, said that "the undersecretary received at the ministry's headquarters the delegation of the Romanian embassy in Baghdad to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the two friendly countries and open new horizons to revitalize the agricultural sector, both plant and animal."
    The agent stressed, according to the statement, "the depth of bilateral relations and agricultural and commercial exchange between Iraq and Romania and the importance of activating cooperation and joint exchange to serve the sustainable agricultural process," expressing his happiness "with this meeting to open new horizons for agricultural cooperation between the two friendly countries."
    During the meeting, according to the statement, “a number of topics related to the agricultural and animal process and the process of importing live animals were discussed and reviewed and worked to overcome the obstacles facing the development of the exchange of agricultural commodities and merchandise, transfer and settlement of modern technology and benefit from Romanian and technical information and expertise, in addition to discussing veterinary health certificates and revitalizing the operations of Import and export, and the completion of technical matters by specialists and technicians, while the issue of exchanging field visits to agricultural and animal projects was discussed in order to raise the skills of workers in the agricultural sector to serve the common interests of the two countries.
    For his part, the Romanian embassy delegation expressed “his pleasure to meet and his country’s readiness to strengthen relations and joint cooperation in the agricultural and animal sectors, as well as the establishment of a land transport company to transport agricultural materials and goods to Baghdad, facilitate procedures for goods and activate and arrange technical matters in this field between the two friendly countries.”
