    Today, Sunday, the Forensic Medicine Department announced that it received 618 criminal bodies during the past month.

    The Director General of the Forensic Medicine Department, Zaid Ali Abbas, said in a statement, "The Forensic Medicine Department received approximately 618 corpses, including 16 cases belonging to Arabs and foreigners during the month of May, which were received from investigative authorities and police stations, and in multiple criminal cases, distributed by (68%) of males. and (32%) females.

    He added that "the totality of these cases was the result of recording (36) deaths from gunshots and (16) bodies as a result of accidents of electric shock and falls, while accidents of burns were recorded (38) bodies, as well as the autopsy of (74) bodies of traffic accidents, as cases were recorded. Diseases and other miscellaneous accidents.

    Abbas pointed out, "The Forensic Medicine Department performs a forensic autopsy of the body through careful examination and under a specialized team of forensic doctors to determine the cause and method of death and to assess any disease or injury that may have occurred to the body."
