Today, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, the President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, received at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, a delegation that included a number of sheikhs from the tribes of Najaf, where they discussed the overall situation in the country as well as the situation in the city.
The President of the Republic stressed the great role played by Najaf, the religious authority, and clan elders and dignitaries in preserving the social fabric in the country, as the city represents a symbol of moderation, support for the rightful demands of citizens, renounce violence and defend against the dangers facing the country, and contribute to the consolidation of security and stability.
The President of the Republic said: The country is in dire need of national unity and solidarity among all its citizens in order to proceed with meeting national entitlements based on meeting the aspirations of Iraqis for a free and dignified life, and improving service and living conditions.
