Iraq and Saudi Arabia have held talks dealing with the process of transporting Iraqi pilgrims by land to the Holy Land during the current Hajj season .

And the Iraqi Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah stated - in a press statement, reported by the Iraqi News Agency "NAA" - that the head of the authority, Sami Al-Masoudi, discussed, during his meeting, with the Prince of the Saudi Northern Region (Arar), Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the affairs of transporting pilgrims by land to the Holy Land. .
The authority explained that Al-Masoudi discussed with the Emir the affairs of transporting Iraqi pilgrims by land and facilitating their passage to the Holy Land through the Arar border crossing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia .
Al-Masoudi praised the great efforts made by the Saudi authorities in facilitating the affairs of grouping pilgrims and overcoming all obstacles to deliver them safely and comfortably .
For his part, Prince Faisal bin Khalid expressed his happiness with the return of the pilgrim convoys through the Saudi Arar port after a two-year hiatus due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, expressing his absolute cooperation in providing the services that the brothers of Iraqi pilgrims deserve since their entry into the territory of the Kingdom until their arrival to their residence in the city.
