Kurdistan Democratic Party MP Sharif Suleiman confirmed, on Saturday, that the House of Representatives has to change the electoral law to serve the next stage.
Suleiman said in an interview seen by / the information /, that "it is obvious to change the law after the end of each electoral process," noting that "all electoral laws have negatives and positives, so the parliament seeks to change the electoral law to serve the next stage."
Suleiman indicated that "there is an effort to legislate a new electoral law."
At the end of December of last year 2021, the Federal Supreme Court called on the new parliament to amend the election law and adopt manual counting (exclusively), and it also canceled several paragraphs of the law that was enacted last year. finished/25
