Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - Member of Parliament Siban Aziz revealed today, Friday, another date for Parliament to hold its next session to give confidence to the government of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.
This comes after Iraqi deputies and officials said earlier that the session to pass the Sudanese government may be held on Saturday, if the discussions on the distribution of ministerial portfolios are resolved.
However, Representative Siban Aziz said in an interview with Kurdistan 24 that it was decided to give the political forces more time because they had not yet agreed on the distribution of ministerial portfolios.
He added, "The House of Representatives will not hold its scheduled session tomorrow, Saturday."
He indicated that the session may be held on Monday or Tuesday to pass the Sudanese government.

Aziz confirmed what other officials said that the Kurdish share in the new government is four ministries, three of which belong to the Democratic Party and one to the National Union.
And he continued, "Based on the ongoing talks between the political forces, the ministries of foreign affairs, environment, and reconstruction will be the share of the Kurdistan Democratic Party."
He pointed out that "one of the conditions for the participation of the Kurds in the new government is the implementation of Article 140 of the Constitution and the resolution of the Kurdish share of the federal budget, and several other issues related to the constitutional and legal rights of the Kurdistan Region."
He stressed that "the main parties participating in the new government have no justification for ignoring the pledges, as they did in the past."
Al-Sudani was assigned last week to form the new government immediately after Parliament elected Abdel Latif Rashid as president after a political stalemate that exceeded a year.
Al-Sudani says that he will announce his government before the constitutional deadline for it expires, and he has repeatedly stressed that it will be a service government that meets the aspirations of citizens.
