publishes, on Thursday, the text of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani's speech, during a session to gain confidence in Parliament.
Shiaa Al-Sudani said in his speech, the text below: “
In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
, Honorable Speaker of the House of Representatives. Honorable
President of the Supreme Judicial Council.
Distinguished leaders of political blocs, distinguished
representatives of the people.
Ladies and gentlemen, the audience.
Peace . May God’s mercy and blessings be upon you.It
is an honor to stand today in the house of the legislative authority, as stipulated in Article 76-Fourth of the Iraqi Constitution, to present the ministerial curriculum and the government cabinet, hoping to gain the confidence of the people’s representatives and start a new page of implementation.
Our ministerial team will address the responsibility at this stage in which the world is witnessing very large political and economic transformations and conflicts, which will add new challenges to our country, which is mainly suffering from accumulated crises that have had the most economic, social, humanitarian and environmental impact on our citizens, for this we make a great promise to our people. The goal of our efforts and the utmost that we have, in order to succeed in raising these monuments, in a spirit befitting the courage of Iraqis and the generosity of Iraq and its history, which paved the path of civilization for the whole world.

The success of our ministerial curriculum stems from our belief that the Iraqis, with their different convictions, beliefs and tendencies, are all just sons of our beloved Iraq, and by meeting around us, they will form a basis for the success of our government, which is based on the principle of national partnership with the people, and openness to all political forces, whether or not they participated The government, we seek to ensure close cooperation between you and our ministerial team in a way that guarantees a legislative and oversight role that our people deserve.
Our government is keen to increase the capacity and effectiveness of local governments, as is the case in federal systems around the world, and to find sustainable solutions to files with the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, through a true partnership based on rights and duties, and to guarantee and preserve the independence of the judiciary as stipulated in that constitution.
The pandemic of corruption that has affected all aspects of life is more deadly than the Corona pandemic and has been the cause of many economic problems, weakening the prestige of the state, increasing poverty, unemployment and poor services.
The correct and impartial management of the economy is the basis of the work of the next government, as we firmly believe that building a strong Iraqi economy is capable of achieving qualitative change in services, creating many job opportunities and opening the doors for investment wide, as it contributes to strengthening and improving the foundations of cooperation with the countries of the world, based on the principle of Common interests and mutual respect for sovereignty.
Our ministerial team will apply a set of principles to work on building a modern economy that serves Iraqis in the present and the future, namely:
1. To stop the deterioration that is affecting the various sectors.
2. Financing and implementing new and lagging projects that have a direct impact on the lives of citizens and the services provided to them.
3. Combating poverty and unemployment and empowering low-income people.
4. The gradual transformation from the rentier economy by modernizing the work of the economy through the government’s sponsorship of an important economic engine based on investing the creativity of the huge young energies; To activate the building of small and medium-sized companies in agriculture, industry, information technology, services and the environment to provide the state with the creation of thousands of job opportunities and to attract local and international investment.
5. Creating a qualitative leap in building expertise, human capital and institutional capabilities to keep pace with the tremendous technological transformations in all fields and their very impact on the economy, energy and environment.
6. Working with the House of Representatives and the Judicial Council to legislate, develop and update laws that support investment in line with the requirements of the twenty-first century economy.
7. Benefiting from successful experiences around the world that tested the conditions of Iraq itself.
Sons of our honorable Iraqi people.. I am addressing you while I stand before your representatives.
God has endowed Iraq with many resources, and we believe that the most important of them are the creative and courageous human energies that built civilizations in our country with more numbers than any other country in the world. Iraq is among the youth who deserve to have a role in building the country and benefiting from its bounties.
Our curriculum gives priority to returning the displaced to their areas of residence after completing the requirements for return, and is also concerned with human rights and women's empowerment.
Our government will give the necessary care and support to our armed forces and internal security forces with all their names and formations, because they are the guarantor of civil peace, the security of the country and the implementation of the rule of law.
Our government believes that Iraq's strategic location, regional weight and influence in the world economy give it the right to play a major role that represents its true size and to establish the best relations on the basis of mutual and complementary interests with neighboring countries and Arab and friendly countries.
In conclusion, I would like to extend my thanks to the representatives of the people, and through you, I pledge to our great Iraqi people, headed by the supreme and rational reference, and I pledge to you that I will be of assistance to the Iraqi people in every part of our beloved Iraq.
