The Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that "the court has taken additional measures against a number of other defendants from the General Tax Authority," noting that "investigations are continuing to determine the responsibilities of other parties that have contributed to facilitating the seizure of these funds."
He added that "despite the complexity of the investigations into the case, the court focused on the importance of counting the sums of money that were seized in preparation for their recovery, and it formed a specialized committee to inventory the sums of money and real estate located inside and outside the country."
He pointed out that "in this regard, precautionary seizure has been placed on approximately (55) properties in Baghdad, and investigations are underway for the rest of the properties in other governorates."
And he added, "a seizure has been placed on financial shares belonging to the accused and his family, estimated at (167.650.000.000) one hundred and sixty-seven billion six hundred and fifty million dinars, as well as cash balances with a value of (108,000,000,000) one hundred and eight billion Iraqi dinars, in addition to shares estimated at a value of With (100,000,000) one hundred billion Iraqi dinars in one of the commercial malls in Baghdad.

The Karkh Investigation Court, which is specialized in integrity issues, clarified today, Thursday, the measures taken to complete the investigations into the case of seizing tax deposits.
The Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that "the court has taken additional measures against a number of other defendants from the General Tax Authority," noting that "investigations are continuing to determine the responsibilities of other parties that have contributed to facilitating the seizure of these funds."
