On Saturday, real estate expert Qasim Hadi bet on the occurrence of a significant change in the prices of housing units, with the existence of strategic plans to solve the housing problem.
Hadi told "Al-Iqtisad News" that "Iraq is suffering from a severe crisis in the housing sector, and a drop in the prices of housing units is unlikely," adding, "There may be a drop in the prices of commercial real estate, but the drop is slight and not significant."
Hadi added, "When there are strategic plans to solve the housing problem, there will inevitably be a significant change in the prices of housing units."
He continued, "The dollar was not a reason for the rise in real estate prices," explaining that "when the dollar falls, minor changes may occur in real estate prices that are not conditioned on the decline."
And he went on to say, the dollar (real estate) value may increase if the situation is as it is now, the increasing demand for housing units, the absence of housing plans and the deterioration of investment in this sector.
