    [size=45]The semi-official Iranian newspaper, the Tehran Times, revealed
    that the meeting “discussed developments in the crisis” on the border.[/size]
    [size=45]The newspaper said, in a report translated by (Baghdad Today), that "the Iranian ambassador followed up with the minister the latest developments in establishing the border protection force, which the Iraqi authorities announced the start of its formation to control the borders with Iran and prevent arms smuggling into Iran."[/size]
    [size=45]And she added, "The two parties discussed the entry of drugs between the two countries and agreed to place them as one of the main priorities for future cooperation between the two parties, during which the Iraqi Minister of Interior confirmed his readiness to fully cooperate with the Iranian authorities to achieve its goals."[/size]
    [size=45]The two sides also discussed, according to the newspaper, “economic, security, commercial and investment cooperation, in addition to the outstanding water and energy problems between the two countries, stressing the need to establish continuous communication between the two sides to achieve sustainability for efforts to address outstanding problems.”[/size]
    [size=45]In conclusion, she added that the two parties also discussed a project to establish “a joint administrative system through electronic governance and the issuance of joint bank cards between Iraqi and Iranian banks, in addition to efforts to balance exports and imports between the two countries.[/size]
