    The Parliamentary Economy Committee announced, on Tuesday, that it is seeking to activate the local product protection law during this session, explaining that it is not possible for the Iraqi industry to perish, no matter how foreign goods compete with it.
     The age head of the Parliamentary Economy Committee, Ali al-Moussawi, said in a statement reported by the official newspaper that "there are good industrialists who will advance the Iraqi industry, and there is confirmation by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani on the subject of the national industry in particular," noting that "a field will be opened for the private sector of to protect the local product.
    Al-Moussawi indicated, "The committee's intention to activate the product protection law during this session, and this was confirmed through the meeting that took place between the committee and the Federation of Industries, and there will be joint cooperation between the two parties, and Made in Iraq will return again."
    In addition, member of the committee, Sardi Nayef Al-Mihyawy, explained that “since the Committee on Economy, Industry and Trade in the House of Representatives assumed its duties, it has been looking into enacting new laws and activating broken laws that support the revitalization of the private sector because of its great impact in supporting the Iraqi economy, its development and recovery, and thus prosperity.” And raise the standard of living of the Iraqi individual.
