    Today, Tuesday, the Integrity Commission announced the arrest of the director of a factory belonging to the Ministry of Industry and Minerals. On the background of the removal of materials worth more than a quarter of a billion dinars from the Baghdad sewing factory to the cotton factory; in order to sell them in the local market.
    A statement by the Commission's Investigation Department, which was received by (Baghdad Today), stated that “in its discussion of the details of the operation that was carried out according to a judicial warrant, it stated that it had received information indicating that the director of the Cotton Factory belonging to the Ministry of Industry and Minerals had directed the factory's Baghdad sewing factory; In order to remove large quantities of “Pakistani cloth” that are in the factory’s warehouses at a value of (300,000,000) million dinars; To sell it to a merchant and transport it on private wheels in violation of the law.”
    And the department continued, that it “formed a work team and moved to the headquarters of the Baghdad sewing factory, and after conducting an investigation inside the factory, it was revealed that there were three carrying wheels inside it loaded with cloth,” confirming The arrest of the factory manager, and (3) of the wheel drivers, as well as wheels for transporting quantities of cloth.
    And she added, “The operation also resulted in seizing the original notes issued by the cotton factory with the signature of the director, which included the transfer of cloth without justification or reason, as well as seizing the record issued in the factory with the original solicitation transaction.” which was presented by the accused (factory manager), and signed by a fictitious deal.”
    The commission noted, “The organization of a formal seizure report, and its submission, along with the seized and accused items, to the judge of the Second Karkh Investigation Court; who decided to arrest the first accused in accordance with the provisions of Article (316) of the Penal Code, and to release the motorists on bail, and the official of the marketing division in the factory was also arrested; for his involvement in the case.”
