    Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Electricity announced, on Wednesday, its staff fully mobilized for the success of the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra Governorate, noting that measures are being taken to address any emergency that may occur during the days of the tournament.



    The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Musa, told Shafaq News agency, "Based on the directives of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Electricity conducted field tours and visits more than once to the sports city in Basra, accompanied by the head of the Iraqi Football Association , to see the reading of the Ministry of Electricity's plan for the success of the Gulf Championship 25.
    He pointed out that "coordination is continuing with the ministry of youth and sports, with the Iraqi Football Association, and with the Organizing Committee for the Gulf Championship, and a number of measures have been taken, including the installation of mobile stations (11/ 132 KV) in the Sports City and its facilities, and the provision of support generators, fuel and kerosene, in addition to preparing alternative sources of nutrition from more than one direction, to deal with any emergency that may occur during the tournament.
    Mousa stressed, "The Ministry of Electricity announced the full mobilization of its staff for the success of the Gulf Championship 25, through field and direct supervision by the minister and public administrations, so we announce our full readiness to light and electricity supply during the tournament period."
    The 25th Gulf Championship will be held in Basra, Iraq, from 6 to 19 January.
