    Parliament Speaker, Muhammad al-Halbousi, discussed, on Saturday, with his Jordanian counterpart, Ahmed al-Safadi, the electrical linkage file between the two countries.


    Al-Halbousi said, in a joint press conference with his Jordanian counterpart, Ahmed Al-Safadi, "We discussed bilateral relations and important economic sectors, as we discussed in detail the electrical linkage file between Iraq and Jordan."

    He pointed out that "increasing outlets for selling Iraqi oil is an important issue, as it will increase Iraq's imports," stressing that "the financial cost of the Basra-Aqaba pipeline has been reduced."

    He added: "We highly appreciate Safadi's visit to Baghdad and Jordan's support for the Iraqi people," stressing: "We are supportive." Jordan in facing challenges.

    Al-Halbousi appreciated "Jordan's positions in support of Iraq."
