Former MP Jumaa Al-Atwani confirmed that the current government has raised the slogan of productive diplomacy in its visits to foreign countries, not like its predecessors in terms of protocol visits.
Al-Atwani said in a televised interview, followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "whoever looks at the strategic agreement between the Iraqi and French governments feels that the government has gone to an integrated government program that has an economic and service dimension."
He added, "When the prime minister went to Germany, he signed memorandums of understanding on electric energy and the conversion of associated gas into clean energy. The same agreements were transferred to Paris to diversify dealings with countries and not rely on a specific country."
He explained that "the signing of agreements with several countries benefits Iraq because it does not depend on a single source to provide services, especially the changes that occurred after the Russian-Ukrainian war and the economic recession in the world."
