The government spokesman, Basem Al-Awadi, confirmed the existence of new decisions that will be issued to achieve balance in the exchange market, while pointing to the imminent completion of structuring the general budget law for the year 2023. Al-Awadi said in an interview with the
official agency and its follow-up / Mawazine News /: “The general budget for the year 2023 is complete and present, unless The issue of fluctuation in the exchange rate of the dollar caused a delay in its approval, "noting that" changing the exchange rate is in the service of the Iraqi citizen.
And he indicated, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani directed the Ministry of Finance and other concerned ministries to form the budget structure and restore numbers on the basis of the modern exchange rate during a specific period of time."
And he pointed out, “After the Ministry of Finance finishes fixing the new price figures, the budget will be ready and will be presented to the Council of Ministers again, and then it will be sent to Parliament,” stressing, “The budget for the current year, for the first time, will be harnessed to implement the government program, whether the service or the private sector.” And all that the ministerial program pledged to do.”
