The US Embassy in Baghdad announces the return of visas after more than 3 years of stopping them

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, at dawn on Thursday, the results of the high-ranking Iraqi government delegation's visit to Washington.
The ministry published the joint final statement issued by the two governments, referring to the discussion of economic and security files, the most prominent of which is the currency and energy market crisis, as well as the security file.
The statement indicated that among the results of the visit was a gradual resumption of the issuance of non-immigrant visas by the US embassy in Baghdad, more than 3 years after it stopped, following an attempt to storm it by armed virtue masses at the end of 2019.
