The representative of the coordination framework, Ali Nehme, confirmed that the government has a real move to resolve the issue of the budget within the Council of Ministers and then send it to the House of Representatives so that transfers can be made, read and voted on.
Nehme said in a press statement, "There is an actual movement regarding resolving the budget file, and Parliament is still waiting for the Council of Ministers to finish it and send it to it in order to discuss it, read it, and then vote on it."
He added, "The country's situation is in dire need of budget legislation, and there is a serious intention on the part of the government to expedite the resolution of its file, so that Parliament will have the final say in conducting the transfer process, if required, before its legislation."
And he indicated that "the government has its financial procedures regarding the dollar and the application of the electronic platform system in order to control the exchange rate, as this comes in anticipation of ending the budget file."
