Today, Wednesday, independent MP Mohsen Al-Saeedi revealed the determination of the government and parliament to reduce the deficit in the public financial budget during 2023.
Al-Saeedi said in a press statement, "The government is serious about reducing the deficit rate in favor of the middle and poor classes and those with limited income."
He added that "the budget must include solutions to change the exchange rates of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar," pointing out that "the previous budget as well as the food security law did not address clearly and explicitly the issue of the exchange rate of the dollar."
He pointed out that "there are attempts to reduce the deficit in the 2023 budget in favor of the poor segments of Iraq."
