    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Today, Tuesday, the New Generation bloc in the Iraqi parliament warned that the election law cannot be passed without a political agreement with a "consensus" and the inclusion of even "emerging political forces."
The representative of the bloc, Omid Muhammad, told (Baghdad Today) that "the election law, whether local or parliamentary, is subject to political consensus," noting that "the law cannot be passed without prior agreement between all political forces, large and small, and even with independent representatives and forces." emerging politics.
Muhammad added, "There are major differences over the election law that is prepared and to be discussed in parliament," pointing out that "the provincial council elections and the parliament elections brought them together in one electoral law, which is disputed," explaining that "agreeing to resolve differences takes time," and for this " We do not believe that the law will be enacted in the near future."
Yesterday,  the House of Representatives decided to postpone a report and discussion of a proposal to amend the Provincial Council Elections Law.
And the media department of the Council stated, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "the House of Representatives voted to postpone the report and discussion of the proposed law for the third amendment to the Provincial and District Council Elections Law No. (12) for the year 2018 to a session next Saturday."
