[size=18]The Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc denied, on Saturday, official meetings between Prime Minister-designate Adnan al-Zrafi and Kurdish leaders, stating that "technical reasons" prevented al-Zarfi from visiting Kurdistan.

The head of the bloc, Vian Sabri, said in a statement that Alsumaria News received a copy of it, "Technical reasons prevented Zarfi from visiting the Kurdistan region, which was scheduled to arrive in Erbil during the past week."

Regarding discussions with the Kurds regarding the formation of the government, she explained that "Al-Zorfi has not yet had any formal meetings with the leaders of the Kurdistan region, except for some contacts that took place between him and the President of the Kurdistan Region and the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, to exchange views between them."

Sabri went on to say that "the position of prime minister needs the consensus of the Shiite house first and then the national consensus of the rest of the other blocs," stressing that "its bloc will consult with all political forces in this regard."
