The Finance Committee revealed that the government will soon send the new salary scale for state employees.
A member of the committee, Representative Jamal Cougar, said, “The employee salary scale law is still on the table of the Council of Ministers, and so far no new version of the law has been sent to Parliament.”
Cougar added, “The law must be reviewed before voting on the 2023 budget,” noting that “otherwise, it is not possible to vote on amendments to the law.” He pointed out, “Information is constantly received by the committee that it will soon be sent by the government in order to be approved by Parliament.”
In addition, Representative Mortada Al-Saadi confirmed that he addressed the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers last week in order to find out the latest findings of government efforts regarding the salary scale of employees.
Al-Saadi continued, "The peace is still with the government, as it is responsible for putting it in place, and we are waiting for it to reach the House of Representatives.
