    Yesterday, Thursday, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, Prime Minister of Iraq, directed a review of the sums deducted from the salaries of employees, retirees, and social protection.
    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a press statement that the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, chaired a meeting of the Committee for the Localization of Salaries and the Unified Treasury Account, in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the Minister of Finance, the Prime Minister’s advisors, the general managers of the Rafidain and Rashid banks, the Iraqi Trade Bank, and the representative of the Supervision Bureau. Federal Finance.
    He added that the meeting discussed the unified treasury account, the localization of employee salaries in all state departments, the application of the electronic payment system (pos), and the negotiation of contracting with an international consulting company, to advance the reality of lagging banks.
    He stated that the conditions of electronic payment companies were discussed and their work evaluated, and a lot of money was paid to the amounts that are deducted from the salaries of employees, retirees and social protection as a result of contracts previously concluded between banks and these companies, and what they contain of clear injustice to the citizen.
    He pointed out that the Prime Minister directed the preparation of new standards and announcing the opening of competition between all electronic payment companies, which number about 16 companies, and contracting with companies that provide the best services at lower costs, and following up the work of the committees that were formed to study the amount of money deducted from the salaries of beneficiaries at any process. withdrawal or service.
    And he continued, that it was decided that all electronic payment companies specialized in localizing the salaries of employees and beneficiaries should be subject to follow-up and competition.
    The Prime Minister stressed that the employee or beneficiary should not be allowed to be a hostage to other parties, explaining that the single treasury account system will contribute to reducing corruption.
    The meeting witnessed an emphasis on the importance of the government's unified account, which allows access to the actual daily balance of the government to determine its expenditures, rather than distributing it to more than one account, and it also allows for the liquidation of accounts and the removal of duplicates from them.
