Today, Wednesday, the Federal Integrity Commission announced all arrest and recruitment orders issued by the courts specialized in examining integrity cases during the month of February 2023, against senior officials and those with higher ranks.

The Commission’s investigations department stated in its statement that “the judicial authorities issued (43) arrest and recruitment orders in cases that were investigated by the Commission’s investigation directorates and offices in Baghdad and the provinces and referred to the judiciary,” pointing out that “the orders issued in the period from (1-28) 2/2023) included (37) senior officials with higher ranks,” explaining that “the orders were distributed between (6) arrest warrants and (37) recruitment orders.”
And the department continued, “The orders included (6) members of Parliament, including (5) deputies in the current session, and one former member, in addition to (5) former ministers and two current undersecretaries.”

She added that “arrest and recruitment orders were issued against two former governors, (7) current general managers, (11) former general managers, and a former general director, as well as (3) former members of the provincial councils.”
