    Baghdad today - Kurdistan
Today, Monday, the spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Government, Jutiar Adel, confirmed that all preparations for the elections have been made by the government.
Adel said in a press statement on the official website of the regional government and its affiliate (Baghdad Today), that "all preparations have been taken to hold the elections, such as the budget and the provision of a safe and positive atmosphere."
He stressed that "the government is ready to support this process and will continue to support it logistically, financially and in all other respects."
The government spokesman indicated that "after setting the date for the elections, other measures will be taken."
For her part, the Speaker of the Kurdistan Parliament, Rewaz Faeq, announced that during this week or next week, the amendment of the election law will begin, which will take place this year.
Regarding today's meeting of the Presidency of the Parliament with the heads of the blocs and representatives of the political parties, Riwaz Faiq said that the meeting is advisory regarding the upcoming elections for the Kurdistan Parliament.
Faeq added, "The meeting will take the views of the constituents, with the aim of reaching convergent views of all parties on the elections, and we will meet with the constituents' body, whether inside or outside Parliament."
And she continued, "The United Nations has listened to them before, and we would like to know what they want, and if they reach an agreement among them, we will be supportive of them, but if there are different points of view, Parliament will try, as it did with the political parties, to bring their views closer, it will do with the components as well." .
Faeq stressed that "the issue of the elections is a national and fateful issue that affects all Kurdish parties, not just the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union, so we all have a duty to come together on common points, and compared to last year we have taken good steps."
