The advisor to the Anbar governor for energy affairs, Aziz Khalaf al-Tarmouz, stated, on Saturday, that the areas for exploration for oil and gas fields in the western regions are fully secured by the security forces after they were cleared of the threat of ISIS terrorist remnants.
Al-Tarmouz said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, "The Oil Exploration Company held a meeting with the security leaders supervising the security file in Anbar in order to jointly coordinate with the security forces on securing the exploration areas and harnessing all efforts to support the explosives handling teams to clear the targeted areas in which exploration operations are taking place." Within the second phase, after completing the tasks of the seismic teams from some areas west of Anbar, and focusing on working as one team in order to complete the task within the specified timelines.
He added, "The security forces will provide the necessary security protection for the company's employees throughout the excavation and exploration operations until the completion of their work tasks." coming.”
It is noteworthy that the security forces and employees of the Oil Exploration Company were able to defuse thousands of explosive devices and booby-trapped bodies left over from ISIS terrorists during exploration operations for oil and gas fields in western Anbar regions.
