The advisor to the Anbar governor for energy affairs, Aziz Khalaf al-Tarmouz, stated, on Saturday, that the areas for exploration for oil and gas fields in the western regions are fully secured by the security forces after they were cleared of the threat of ISIS terrorist remnants.
Al-Tarmouz said in a press interview seen by “Takadum” that “the oil exploration company held a meeting with the security leaders supervising the security file in Anbar in order to jointly coordinate with the security forces on securing the exploration areas and harnessing all efforts to support the explosives treatment teams to clear the targeted areas in which they are taking place.” Excavations within the second phase, after the completion of the tasks of the seismic teams from some areas west of Anbar, and focus on working as one team in order to complete the task within the specified timelines.
