Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Planning announced the details of the annual plan of the Social Fund for Development for the year 2023, which came in line with the government program.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Abd al-Zahra al-Hindawi, said in a statement received by (Baghdad Today) that "the Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, directed to provide appropriate conditions for the fund's work and enable it to implement its annual plan, which includes the implementation of projects of a service nature, foremost of which are water, electricity, roads and schools projects in the poorest regions.
He explained that "the plan includes signing contracts for the implementation of (144) projects in various governorates distributed by (8) projects in Anbar, (26) projects in Maysan, (24) projects in Muthanna, with (10) projects in Babel and (6) projects in Nineveh." And (5) projects in Diwaniyah, as well as (31) projects in Salah al-Din, (24) projects in Erbil, (9) projects in Sulaymaniyah, and one project in Dhi Qar, in addition to the re-announcement of (4) projects in Dhi Qar and the same in Anbar. .
He pointed out that "the plan for the months (April, May, June) includes the implementation of community mobilization campaigns in the governorates of Wasit, Diwaniyah, Dhi Qar, Baghdad, Babil and Nineveh, as well as studying and selecting projects and completing their requirements for the second phase in the governorates of Diwaniyah, Diyala, Dhi Qar, Babel, Baghdad and Sulaymaniyah." Anbar, Erbil, Najaf, Basra and Karbala, and the third stage in Dohuk Governorate in the Kurdistan Region.
He continued, "The plan also includes checking the technical lists of the first-stage projects in the governorates of Diyala, Baghdad, Maysan, Karbala, Dhi Qar and Kirkuk, and the third-stage projects in the governorates of Salah al-Din, Muthanna and Nineveh."
He pointed out that "the second phase includes: preparing the requirements and preparing the environmental report for the governorates of Diyala, Baghdad, Najaf, Kirkuk, Karbala, Wasit, Erbil, Basra, and the second phase for Nineveh Governorate."
