[size=45]Yesterday, Saturday, the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, called on the international community to recognize the crimes of genocide against the Kurds, and to compensate those affected fairly and justly by the Iraqi government and all parties that helped commit these crimes.[/size]
[size=45]A statement from the presidency of the regional government, received by (Al-Mada), stated that “Barzani received yesterday the American international lawyer, Gabriel Maironi, who is specialized in representing the victims of the genocide committed against the people of Kurdistan.”[/size]
[size=45]The statement continued, "Lawyer Gabriel Maironi presented an overview of his activities and efforts in representing thousands of victims of genocide at the International Criminal Court, especially the victims of Anfal, the chemical attack on Kurdistan, and the genocide committed by ISIS terrorists against the Yazidis, indicating that they have been working on these issues since many years".[/size]
[size=45]In turn, the President of the Kurdistan Government, according to the statement, praised "Mayroni's efforts," pointing out that "the people of Kurdistan were subjected to many crimes of genocide."[/size]
