The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that the government will continue to discuss the draft law on the salary scale for employees, indicating that the implementation of the law needs to allocate nearly ten trillion dinars.
Committee member Representative Mustafa Sanad said that the implementation of the new salary scale needs additional financial allocations estimated at ten trillion dinars as a maximum.
He added that achieving justice among the segments of employees deserves the government's acceleration in order to complete the new salary scale.
The member of the Finance Committee indicated that the law is not present at the House of Representatives, and if it arrives, it cannot be included in the budget due to the lack of sufficient allocations.
The application of the salary scale recently topped the demands of the segment of employees who organize from time to time mass demonstrations in Baghdad and the provinces to demand the application of the salary scale to achieve justice among state employees.
