    [rtl]The Central Bank of Iraq granted permission to open the governmental "Nishtman" bank in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, in order to link all banks in Iraq into a unified system. 

    This came during the seventeenth session of the year 2023 of the Ministerial Council of Economy, headed by Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein.

    The statement stated that the Council hosted a delegation of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq headed by Minister Abdul Hakim Khosrow, the Director General of Private Banks in the region and the Director General of Companies Registration in the Federal Ministry of Trade to "discuss the opening of a government bank in the region." 

    And he continued, "After extensive discussions, and in order to link all banks in Iraq according to a unified system, the council recommended that the region complete the procedures for opening the governmental (National) Neshtman Bank, and that the Central Bank of Iraq, in accordance with its laws in force, grant it the license," indicating that the central bank must " the process of supervision and control and that the documents and papers be deposited with the Federal Ministry of Trade, the Companies Registrar Department. 

    The meeting was attended by the Federal Government, the Minister of Planning, the Ministers of Finance, Trade, Industry, Agriculture, Labor and Social Affairs, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the Chairman of the National Investment Commission, the Prime Minister's advisors for economic and legal affairs, and the Chairman of the Securities Commission.

    On the other hand, the council decided to "adjust the amount of fines related to violations in the Baghdad Municipality departments and municipalities in the governorates in order to preserve public property, streets, cleanliness, the environment, and the basic design of cities."[/rtl]
