In a visit described as important, Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa al-Sudani arrives in Cairo today, Monday, at the head of a delegation consisting of 12 ministers from various service and security ministries, in addition to a number of Iraqi businessmen, to meet with their Egyptian counterparts.
"The prime minister will make an important visit to Egypt today, Monday, aimed at discussing bilateral relations and cooperation between Iraq and Egypt," said government spokesman Basem Al-Awadi.
This visit coincides with the start of the work of the Iraqi-Egyptian Higher Ministerial Committee headed by Trade Minister Atheer Al-Ghurairy from the Iraqi side and Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation from the Egyptian side.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Chairman of the Committee of Experts, Sattar Al-Jabri, said: "We have finished the minutes, which will be at the strategic level of the two countries, and will be presented to the Minister of Commerce, Atheer Al-Ghurairy, and the Egyptian Minister of International Solidarity, Rania Al-Mashat, noting that tomorrow, Tuesday, will culminate in the signing of the prime ministers of the two countries on the minutes of the meeting."
Al-Jabri pointed out that "the relations of Iraq and Egypt are in continuous development, and there is a great welcome at the governmental and popular levels for cooperation with Egypt, and there is a goal to expand these relations on the political and economic side, and there will be outputs that serve the two countries," according to the official newspaper.
